Today I’m pleased to launch my talent accelerator  - State School Ventures.

Why State School Ventures?

1. Statistically UK private schools are a huge success story; in culture, in the arts and in entrepreneurship;

2. I believe that many of the privileges that private school educated people enjoy (eg confidence, network, time and money) can be provided to any talented person;

3. Given that less than 6% of children attend private school, the UK would benefit if the other 94% had more access to these privileges.

State School Ventures is a 8 week programme for people wishing to start a company. SSV will help take you from idea to launch and funding.

Asks: if you would like to support me on this mission, please do one (or more!) of the following:

1. Applicants - if you know of a talented person with some deep understanding of a problem that could benefit from the programme please share far and wide;

2. Advisors - if you would like to join the mission and support ambitious talented people (or even just support me)  then let me know;

3. Funding - if you would like to support the initiative to reach more people and accelerate outcomes then let me know. Ultimately I would like to have an SSV hub in every major conurbation of the UK.

I believe founding a startup is the hardest occupation someone can do aside parenting and the military. SSV is here to make it easier for folk without existing money and network.
